WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday declined to get involved in the legality of an investigation in Wisconsin into possible unlawful coordination between potential Republican presidential candidate Scott Walker's gubernatorial campaign and special interest groups.

The high court rejected an appeal by a conservative group, the Wisconsin Club for Growth, that had asked the federal courts to stop the investigation. Walker is currently serving his second term as Wisconsin’s governor after winning re-election in November 2014.
