ATLANTA (AP) — A spokeswoman for former U.N. ambassador Andrew Young says he is doing well after a cement truck overturned on a car he was in.
Kelley Jackson, a spokeswoman with the Andrew J. Young Foundation Inc., said in an email that Young will lead a news conference and discussion related to the Ebola virus on Wednesday. He was taken to a hospital as a precaution after the crash Monday in Atlanta.
Atlanta police Sgt. Greg Lyon said Young was in one of two vehicles the truck fell on and he had some minor injuries. Jackson said he was able to walk away from the accident.
He was an ambassador in the late 1970s and served as a mayor in the 1980s.
