LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - A missing San Francisco Bay Area woman reported kidnapped for ransom earlier this week has turned up safe in southern California, local media reported on Wednesday.

Police said Denise Huskins was reported to have been forcibly taken from her boyfriend's home in the East Bay city of Vallejo on Monday, and her boyfriend told authorities there had been a demand for ransom.

Local broadcaster KTVU said Huskins' uncle said the woman called her father earlier on Wednesday and said she was okay and had been dropped off in Huntington Beach.
