(Reuters) - Police in the Bay Area community of Vallejo have asked for the public's help find a 30-year-old woman who may have been kidnapped for ransom.
A man contacted police on Monday afternoon to say that Denise Huskins had been "forcibly taken against her will" from a home in the east bay suburb, Vallejo police said in a written statement.
Detectives were investigating all leads in the case and had sought assistance from the Federal Bureau of Investigation and other local authorities, the police department said.
The department scheduled a news conference for later on Tuesday morning.
