MAIDUGURI, Nigeria (Reuters) - Two explosions hit the northeastern Nigerian town of Maiduguri on Saturday, according to a Reuters witness, and a military source said one of the blasts was a bomb.
The military source did not give the location of the blasts. Maiduguri is the capital of Borno state, a region which is the heartland of militant Islamist group Boko Haram. There was no immediate word on casualties.
