WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. Senator Barbara Mikulski of Maryland on Monday said she will not seek a sixth term in order to spend her final two years in Congress working for constituents in her mid-Atlantic state.

"For the next two years, I will be here, working the way I do, 100 percent, fighting the way I do," Mikulski, the top Democrat on the powerful Appropriations Committee and the longest-serving female senator, said at a news conference in Baltimore.
