NEW YORK (Reuters) - The confession of a man accused of killing 6-year-old Etan Patz of New York in 1979 could be used as evidence against him, a Manhattan court ruled on Monday.

Pedro Hernandez, who confessed to police in 2012 that he had choked Patz and stuffed him alive in a garbage bag, has been charged with murder. Hernandez no longer admits to the crime, according to his lawyer, Harvey Fishbein.
