LEXINGTON, S.C. (AP) — Gov. Nikki Haley has gotten campaign help from former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, an old friend she says played a big part in her winning the job in 2010.
The Republicans made two appearances together Thursday. For Haley, it was a rare campaign stop. She has spent much of 2014 concentrating on her official duties instead of hitting the trail.
Bush, considered a possible 2016 presidential candidate, gently chastised reporters for asking him about his plans, saying the midterm elections aren't even here yet.
Haley is facing Democratic state Sen. Vincent Sheheen in a rematch of the 2010 race.
