WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A federal jury in Richmond has reached a verdict in the corruption trial of former Virginia Governor Robert McDonnell and his wife, Maureen, the U.S. Attorney's Office said in a tweet.

McDonnell, a Republican, and his wife face a 14-count indictment charging they accepted $177,000 in luxury gifts and sweetheart loans from dietary supplement entrepreneur Jonnie Williams Sr. in exchange for promoting his company and its main product.
