Japan defense minister: Japan protests to China over fighter flight incident

TOKYO (Reuters) - Japan has protested to China over a fighter flight incident, Defense Minister Itsunori Onodera said on Wednesday.

A Chinese fighter aircraft flew abnormally close to a plane of Japan's self-defense force over the East China Sea.

China's defense ministry did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
