WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama will raise money for House Democrats at the home of a major donor whom he later named his ambassador to Morocco.
Obama will travel to Minneapolis for the June 26 event at the home of Samuel Kaplan. That's according to an invitation obtained by The Associated Press.
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi will also attend the event benefiting the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.
It's one of more than 20 fundraisers Obama has committed to hold for Democrats ahead of the November elections.
Tickets range from $10,000 per person for dinner and a photo up to $32,400 per couple for dinner plus a smaller reception with Obama.
Kaplan and his wife raised more than $100,000 for Obama's first presidential campaign. He was U.S. ambassador to Morocco until 2013.
