PROVO, Utah (Reuters) - A Utah mother was charged on Monday with six counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of six newborn infants whose bodies were found wrapped in shirts, towels and plastic bags and stuffed inside cardboard boxes in the garage of her former home.

Megan Huntsman, 39, made a brief court appearance in Provo, Utah, as the charges were revealed by local prosecutors. Police have said she has admitted to strangling or suffocating the six babies just after their births over the course of a decade.
