WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Air Force said on Thursday it was firing nine officers in leadership positions at Malmstrom Air Force Base and that the head of nuclear missile wing there had resigned over an exam cheating scandal involving launch officers.

The Air Force made the announcement after an investigation into the cheating, which had implicated more than half of the launch officers at the base in Montana.
