CAPE TOWN (Reuters) - South Africa's opposition Democratic Alliance (DA) will merge with the new Agang party for this year's elections, with internationally respected Agang leader Mamphela Ramphele standing as presidential candidate, the parties said on Tuesday.

"I can think of no better person to be our presidential candidate in this crucial election," DA leader Helen Zille told a news conference.
