House panel charges Holder with contempt of Congress

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A Republican-led committee of the U.S. House of Representatives on Wednesday voted to charge Attorney General Eric Holder with contempt of Congress, saying he has not cooperated fully with its oversight of a gun-running investigation along the U.S.-Mexico border.The move comes after the Obama administration asserted executive privilege as its reason for withholding some documents that had been requested by the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee.(Reporting By Donna Smith and Richard Cowan)
