Obama, NATO leader to discuss summit

President Barack Obama meets Wednesday with NATO's top officer in advance of a summit of NATO leaders later this month.

The president and Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen (AHN'-derz fohg RAHS'-moo-sihn) will discuss final preparations for the summit Obama will host in Chicago on May 20-21.

Obama and Vice President Joe Biden also will meet with Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner in the afternoon.

In the evening, the president and first lady will host a concert honoring Burt Bacharach and Hal David at the White House. The songwriters will be awarded the 2012 Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song. Singers scheduled to perform include Stevie Wonder, Sheryl Crow, Michael Feinstein, Diana Krall and Lyle Lovett.
