Obama to hold talks with top-level NATO official

President Barack Obama is starting the week with a routine White House day highlighted by talks with Anders Fogh Rasmussen (AHN'-derz fohg RAHS'-moo-sihn), the secretary-general of NATO.

Rasmussen recently hailed the alliance for successful completion of its mission in Libya, where longtime strongman Moammar Gadhafi was located and killed and the nation is making a transition to a new form of government.

Obama also meets with Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton and will complete his day with a campaign fund-raising event in the District of Columbia area. He's likely also this week to push anew for congressional action on his nearly $500 million jobs program. A key component of that _ aid for repairing the country's infrastructure _ was stalled in the Senate last week by minority Republicans.
