Rep. Pelosi: Must tie repatriation tax to jobs

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - House of Representatives Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi on Friday said she could support a plan allowing U.S. companies to repatriate overseas profits at a lower rate if the tax change would also create new jobs domestically.

Pelosi made the remarks during an interview on CNBC.

Earlier this week, House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Dave Camp, a Republican, unveiled draft legislation that would pave the way for giving American companies a tax break for repatriating their overseas profits.
