WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. authorities Monday gave the all clear after investigating two reports of suspicious packages in Washington, including one at the Canadian embassy in Washington.
Local and federal authorities checked the report and found no hazards at the Canadian embassy, which is a few blocks from the U.S. Capitol. They also investigated and cleared another report in a different part of downtown Washington.
Authorities daily are called to investigate reports of suspicious packages around the U.S. capital.
