Obama weighing Camp David for weekend debt talks

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Barack Obama is considering summoning congressional leaders to Camp David this weekend to work toward a deal to avoid a looming U.S. debt default, a source familiar with the matter said on Thursday.

A final decision has not yet been made on whether to hold a round of negotiations at the secluded presidential retreat in the Maryland mountains outside Washington, the source said. The two sides remain far apart after a series of meetings, the latest a stormy session held at the White House on Wednesday.
