WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Democrats in the Senate plan to vote on Friday on a bill that would postpone a government shutdown for a week, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said.
The measure will differ from a similar stopgap bill that has passed the Republican-controlled House of Representatives, Reid said at a news conference. Under Senate rules, all 100 Senators must agree to allow the bill to come up for a vote.
"We're going to have our own short-term" bill, Reid said.
