Trade agency study to weigh costs, benefits

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Obama administration will weigh the short-term costs versus the long-term benefits of reorganizing U.S. government trade agencies in a 90-day review that President Barack Obama ordered on Friday, a White House official said.

Jeffrey Zients, deputy director of the Office of Management and Budget, said the process would ultimately be driven by how the government can best serve companies that rely on help from the agencies to export and import goods.
