Hollywood A-listers are coming out in force for President Barack Obama's state dinner for India.
Actors Alfre Woodard and Blair Underwood were among the hundreds invited to dinner Tuesday night in a tent on the White House South Lawn.
Also on the list were Hollywood moguls Steven Spielberg, David Geffen and Jeffrey Katzenberg.
Guests with ties to India included Deepak Chopra (CHAHP'-ruh), director M. Night Shyamalan (SHAH'-mah-lahn) and CNN Medical Correspondent Sanjay Gupta, Obama's original choice for the post of U.S. surgeon general.
Katie Couric of CBS News, Brian Williams of NBC News and Robin Roberts of ABC were among media representatives expected to attend.
