NEW YORK (AP) — The Broadway-bound play about President Lyndon B. Johnson starring Bryan Cranston has named its Martin Luther King Jr. and its J. Edgar Hoover.
Producers of "All the Way" said Tuesday that Michael McKean will play the former FBI director and Brandon J. Dirden will portray the civil rights icon when Robert Schenkkan's play makes it to the Neil Simon Theatre early next year.
Cranston plays Johnson during his first year in office following the assassination of John F. Kennedy and explores both his fight for re-election and the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
Dirden and McKean are reprising the roles they played at the American Repertory Theater's production of the play earlier this year. Opening night on Broadway is set for March 6.
