View More »Jobless benefits applications hold steady as labor market remains strong
The number of Americans filing for jobless benefits didn’t change last week. The Labor Department reports unemployment claims for the week ending April 13 were unchanged from the previous week’s 212,000. In total, 1.81 million Americans were collecting jobless benefits during the week that ended April sixth. It represented an increase of 2,000 from the previous week.

President Biden has won endorsements from more than a dozen members of the Kennedy political family. At a campaign stop in Philadelphia, Kerry Kennedy, a daughter of former Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy, made it official. The endorsement is notable because of Robert F. Kennedy Jr’s independent presidential campaign. Highlighting the Kennedy family’s support is an indication of how seriously the Biden campaign views the the threat of RFK Jr siphoning off Democratic voters.

Evangelicals want action on immigration
VERBATIM: According to a new survey by LifeWay Research, the surge in illegal border crossings during the Biden administration is worrying Evangelical Christians. 80% want Congress to take action to stop the flow. Lifeway spokesman Scott McConnell says “The urgency continues to grow for Congress to act this year to improve laws around immigration.” The poll also finds that Evangelicals are concerned for the welfare of illegal aliens and want to share the gospel with them.
