A day after the producers of Broadway's "Spider-Man" removed Tony Award winner Julie Taymor as director and announced a sixth delay in the show's opening, the stars of the $65 million musical were modeling pricey clothes in a cover story in The New York Post's Page Six Magazine.
The story in Thursday's magazine insert would have appeared days before the March 15 opening.
But the producers of "Spider-Man" announced on Wednesday that the opening would be delayed until summer and that Taymor would no longer be the director. They said the "Lion King" creator would still be on the creative team.
The lead time for the magazine is about a week.
"Spider-Man" spokesman Rick Miramontez said the team behind the musical was "delighted" to participate in the Page Six Magazine spread.
