Ailing French rocker Johnny Hallyday's public relations agency says he has launched legal proceedings against the Paris surgeon who operated on his back last month.
Hallyday, France's biggest rock star, has been hospitalized in Los Angeles for treatment to repair complications from surgery in Paris for a herniated disc. He has canceled the final leg of his concert tour in January and February.
A statement from Hallyday's PR agency says the 66-year-old rocker and his wife Laeticia have launched proceedings against Dr. Stephane Delajoux and the Paris clinic.
The complaint asks the justice system to name a committee of independent medical experts to decide whether the operation was carried out correctly. A hearing has been scheduled for Monday.
