Grain higher, livestock mixed

CHICAGO (AP) — Grain futures were higher Friday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for July delivery was 16.40 cents higher at $4.9660 a bushel; July corn was up 7.60 cents at $3.6740 a bushel; Sept. oats was up 2.20 cents at $2.67 a bushel while July soybeans gained 6 cents to $9.2140 a bushel.

Beef lower and pork higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

June live cattle was .90 cent lower at $1.1930 a pound; August feeder cattle was down 1.43 cents at $1.4575 pound; July lean hogs gained .88 cent to $.9035 a pound.
