Grain higher, livestock lower

CHICAGO (AP) — Grain futures were higher Tuesday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for December delivery was 4 cents higher $3.98 a bushel; December corn was up 2.40 cents at $3.3960 bushel; December oats was 2 cents higher at $2.2960 a bushel while November soybeans gained 1.40 cents to $9.8560 a bushel.

Beef lower and pork prices were lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

December live cattle was .35 cent lower at $1.0523 a pound; November feeder cattle was .10 cent lower at $1.2613 pound; December lean hogs lost .40 cent to $.4650 a pound.
