Grain mostly lower, livestock higher

CHICAGO (AP) — Grain futures were mostly lower Thursday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for Dec. fell 3.50 cents at $3.9950 a bushel; Dec. corn lost 1.75 cents to 3.30 a bushel; Dec. oats was off 1.50 cents at $1.73 a bushel; while Nov. soybeans advanced 7.75 cents to $9.5050 a bushel.

Beef and pork were higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. October live cattle was up 1.15 cents at $1.0695 a pound; September feeder cattle rose 1.30 cents to $1.3397 a pound; while October lean hogs gained .23 cents at $.5515 a pound.
