Grain mostly lower, livestock higher

CHICAGO (AP) — Grain futures were mostly lower Monday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for Sept. rose 7.25 cents at $3.8325 a bushel; Sept. corn fell .75 cent to 3.2925 a bushel; Sept. oats was off 2.25 cents at $1.62 a bushel; while Sept. soybeans declined 12.75 cents to $9.8450 a bushel.

Beef and pork were higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. October live cattle was up 1.30 cents at $1.0570 a pound; September feeder cattle rose .70 cent to $1.3492 a pound; while October lean hogs gained .20 cents at $.5942 a pound.
