WASHINGTON (AP) — Transit officials say all train traffic has been suspended in and out of Washington's Union Station because of a fire on the tracks.

Maryland and Virginia transit officials made the announcement Wednesday morning. The fire is halting all MARC and Virginia Railway Express commuter trains. VRE officials say the fire is electrical in nature.

Commuter train tickets will be honored on the Metro subway.
