Grain higher, livestock lower

CHICAGO (AP) — Grain futures were higher Thursday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for March delivery advanced 11.50 cents to $4.7875 a bushel; March corn was up 6.75 cents to 3.77 a bushel; March oats rose 4.50 cents to 2.3975 a bushel; while January soybeans gained 5.25 cents to $8.9750 bushel.

Beef and pork were lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. February live cattle was off 2.17 cents to $1.2945 a pound; January feeder cattle fell .97 cent to $1.5975 a pound; while February lean hogs lost .33 cent at $.5882 a pound.
