Grain lower, livestock higher

CHICAGO (AP) — Grain futures were lower Monday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for December delivery declined 6.50 cents to $4.8575 a bushel; December corn was off 3.75 cents to 3.73 a bushel; December oats fell 3.75 cents to 2.27 a bushel; while November soybeans lost 7.25 cents to $8.91 a bushel.

Beef and pork were higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. December live cattle was up 2.23 cents to $1.4165 a pound; November feeder cattle gained 2 cents to $1.9215 a pound; while December lean hogs rose .40 cents to $.6597 a pound.
