Grain higher, livestock mixed

CHICAGO (AP) — Grain futures were higher in early trading Tuesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for December delivery gained 4.50 cents to $4.7220 a bushel; December corn was 2 cents higher at $3.65 a bushel; December oats were 2 cents higher at 2.2740 a bushel; while November soybeans gained 8 cents to 8.7440 a bushel.

Beef higher and pork were lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle was .50 cent higher at $1.4098 a pound; October feeder cattle was .45 cent higher at $1.9615 a pound; October lean hogs lost .23 cent to $.6893 a pound.
