Grain mixed, livestock mixed

CHICAGO (AP) — Grain futures were mixed in early trading Thursday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for September delivery rose 6.50 cents to $5.0840 a bushel; December corn was 2.5 cents lower at $3.8040 a bushel; December oats were .50 cent lower at $2.4360 bushel; while November soybeans lost 9.50 cents to 9.4360 cents a bushel.

Beef higher and pork were lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle was 1.05 cents higher at $1.4923 a pound; August feeder cattle was 1.13 cents higher at $2.1525 a pound; October lean hogs lost .63 cent to $.6615 a pound.
