Grain higher and livestock mostly higher

CHICAGO (AP) — Grain futures were higher Monday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for September delivery rose 13.5 cents to $5.06 a bushel; September corn was up 5.5 cents to 3.6425 a bushel; December oats were 5.25 cents higher at 2.6350 a bushel; while November soybeans surged 19.5 cents to $9.5925 bushel.

Beef was higher and pork lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. August live cattle was up 1.23 cents to $1.5190 a pound; August feeder cattle rose 2.35 cents to $2.2577 a pound; while August lean hogs were 1.45 cents lower at $.7237 a pound.
