Stocks fell on Monday after an industry group reported that U.S. manufacturing growth cooled in March and was weaker than economists had forecast. Industrial companies fell the most in the Standard & Poor's 500.
The Dow Jones industrial average dropped 5.69 points, or 0.04 percent, to close at 14,572.85.
The S&P 500 fell 7.02 points, or 0.5 percent, to close at 1,562.17.
The Nasdaq composite index fell 28.35 points, or 0.9 percent, to 3,239.17.

The Dow is up 1,468.71 points, or 11.2 percent.
The S&P 500 is up 135.98, or 9.5 percent.
The Nasdaq is up 219.66, or 7.3 percent.
