Grains trade drop; Beef, pork prices rise

CHICAGO (AP) — Grains futures rose Friday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for September delivery gained 11.25 cents to $7.5725 a bushel; December corn added 4.25 cents to $6.365 a bushel; December oats rose 0.25 cent to $3.44 a bushel; while November soybeans jumped 25 cents to $14.28 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures rose on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

August live cattle gained 1.13 cent to $1.2045 a pound; August feeder cattle added 1 cent to $1.5145 a pound; while August lean hogs rose 0.87 cent to 94.77 cents a pound.
