ON TIME: The U.S. Transportation Department said that 86.3 percent of flights landed within 15 minutes of their scheduled arrival time. It was 82.2 percent in March and 75.5 percent in April 2011.
RANKINGS: Hawaiian Airlines and AirTran Airways boasted 94 percent on-time ratings. American Airlines finished last at 81 percent, with United Airlines only slightly better.
LOST BAGS: The government said there were 2.63 reports of lost, damaged or delayed baggage in April per 1,000 passengers, the best mark since airlines started reporting that statistic in 1987.
