The price of oil rose for a third straight day as traders searched for clues to whether the Federal Reserve may consider additional measures to spur economic growth. Here's how energy contracts traded Wednesday.
On the New York Mercantile Exchange:
Benchmark crude rose 73 cents to finish at $85.02 per barrel.
Gasoline gained 0.56 cent to end at $2.6903 a gallon.
Heating oil rose 3.81 cents to finish at $2.6717 a gallon.
Natural gas fell 2.5 cents to end at $2.421 per 1,000 cubic feet.
On the ICE Futures exchange in London:
Brent crude rose $1.80 to finish at $100.64 per barrel.
