BENEFICIAL RAINS: Corn and wheat prices fell after weekend rains scattered across fields from the Dakotas to southern Texas. The rain was expected to benefit crops in the field and moisten fields being readied for seed.
MIXED BAG: Concerns about the global economy lingered. Prices for copper, oil and natural gas rose. Gold, silver, platinum, soybeans and gasoline futures fell.
