OIL'S BIG MOVE: Oil closed at $102.78, down $2.63, after France's prime minister said there is a "good chance" that the U.S. and Europe will agree to release some of their oil reserves.
GOLD LOSES LUSTER: Gold fell $5.70 to $1,652.20 per ounce. It has fallen 3 percent this month.
AG WATCH: Most agricultural commodities fell, including wheat, corn and soybeans. Sugar was the main exception.
