SEEKING REFUGE: Gold prices rose as concerns lingered about Europe's financial problems after Greece's bond swap.

INDUSTRIAL DEMAND: Investors were hopeful that industrial metals demand will improve after India's central bank cut reserve requirements for lenders. There also is speculation that China may take steps to stimulate its slowing economy.

MIXED FORECAST: Grains and beans were mixed after the Agriculture Department's forecast called for lower wheat inventories and tight corn supplies. Soybean stockpiles are expected to be adequate but recent high prices have cut global demand.
