ICF to support federal clean-energy initiatives

Consulting and technology services provider ICF International Inc. has been awarded a $6 million contract with the Environmental Protection Agency.

The Fairfax-based company said Tuesday that the contract with the EPA will support efforts to remove barriers to clean energy investments by several different clean energy program administrators such as electric utilities, as well as state and local governments. The contract has a term of one base year and four option years.

ICF says it will help with five EPA initiatives, including the Energy Star program, to develop cost-effective clean energy solutions.

The contractor has supported these EPA efforts under previous contracts since 2006.
