JUICE JUMPS: Orange juice futures shot 10.7 percent higher after the government said it will increase testing for a fungicide that was found in low levels in orange juice. It was the highest settlement price since March 2007.
COCOA GAINS: Cocoa jumped 7.5 percent on concerns about weather affecting the Ivory Coast crop. There also are reports of a decline in shipments arriving at ports.
ECONOMIC BOOST: Other commodity prices are mostly higher on expectations that China's economy will continue to grow and a decision by a Fitch Ratings credit ratings agency not to downgrade France's debt this year.
