Oil prices climbed Tuesday on expectations that China's economy _ and its appetite for petroleum _ will continue to grow in 2012. Here's how energy prices traded.
On the New York Mercantile Exchange:
Crude rose 93 cents to finish at $102.24 per barrel.
Gasoline rose by 1.38 cents to end at $2.7728 per gallon.
Heating oil rose by 2.84 cents to finish at $3.1014 per gallon.
Natural gas fell by 7 cents to end at $2.9410 per 1,000 cubic feet.
On the ICE Futures exchange in London:
Brent crude rose 83 cents to finish at $113.28 per barrel.
