The average price of gasoline in New Hampshire has gone up about 10 cents in the past week, to about $3.34 a gallon.
The gasoline price website NewHampshireGasprices.com says that increase is higher than the national average, which went up 7.9 cents per gallon in the same time frame.
Prices Sunday were 30.7 cents per gallon higher than the same day a year ago, and 10.2 cents higher than a month ago. The national average is 27 cents per gallon higher than a year ago, and 4.7 cents per gallon higher during the last month.
Analyst Patrick DeHaan says prices are rising across much of the nation as Iran has continued to threaten closing the Strait of Hormuz, a vital waterway for global oil shipments.
