Cargo shipments at Norfolk International Airport are up but passenger traffic has declined.
The airport says in a news release that nearly 5.4 million pounds of cargo were shipped in November. That's up 7.87 percent from November 2010 when nearly 5 million pounds were shipped.
November's passenger count was 256,740, down 2.48 percent from 263,260 in November 2010.
Cargo shipments from January to November increased 1.6 percent compared to the same period in 2010. Passenger traffic for the 11-month period dropped nearly 4.6 percent to about 2.9 million.
