Idaho Lt. Gov. Brad Little says Idaho businesses have the potential to reap more than $30 million in sales from a recent state-led trade mission to Latin America.
Little led a group of 17 Idaho companies and businesses on an eight-day trip with meetings in Brazil and Mexico.
Deals consummated because of the visit involve the shipment of 210,000 pounds of mustard seeds from a Mountain Home company to Mexico and $1 million worth of goods produced by Post Falls-based Ground Force Manufacturing. Ground Force officials expect contacts made during the visit to yield another $8 million in sales in the next two years.
Little says the trip strengthened key trade relationships and established new customers for Idaho businesses and products.
Mexico is Idaho's 7th largest export destination.
